Grace Plus Nothing
Is There a Doctrine in the House?
A Study of Galatians

Why are people messed up today? Maybe it’s because their heads are full of wrong ideas. Faulty thinking can’t achieve healthy living any more than a muddy well can produce clear water. To live happily, think correctly and think clearly. And remember -- all our thoughts are ultimately theological. They proceed from our core beliefs. Our relationship with God is reasonable and rational. It isn’t grounded in rules, regulations, rituals, or anything we have done. It’s all of grace. We’re justified by grace plus nothing, and that means everything. If we want to live blessed and balanced lives, we must think in terms of grace and truth. As for those who urge us to do otherwise, well, the book of Galatians tells them where they can go (yes, it’s that blunt; the apostle Paul is his feistiest in this epistle). Correct doctrine isn’t crowd-pleasing, but who wants to please the crowd anyway? When your head and heart are sick, you need a doctrine in the house. Join us for a 12-week study of Paul’s letter to the Galatians, beginning January 8.
