The Adventureland children's ministry offers three major special events that kids and families LOVE. These special events are as follows:
Community Easter Egg Hunt @ Two Rivers Park
Saturday April 7, 2012
10:00 am-2:00 pm
Join us at Two Rivers Park on the Saturday before Easter for one of middle Tennessee's biggest Easter Egg Hunts. We "hide" over 50,000 eggs combined in two separate egg hunts. Hunts take place at 10:30 and 12:30 and any one under the age of 13 is welcome to hunt!
We provide a dedicated area for hunting eggs for kids from kindergarten and under for the safety and security of the little ones, but also so the big kids can't "find" all the eggs before the little ones can.
The egg hunt is more than just eggs, though. There are inflatable slide, obstacle courses and bounce houses, face painting, an incredible climbing wall for kids 9 and under, and a dedicated area for kids in kindergarten and below. Admission is FREE, but we ask our guests to register so we can send you information about our church after the event as well as include you in the prize drawings held at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.
Super Summer Bible School
Sunday June 24, through Thursday, June 28
6:00-8:30 nightly
One of the highlights of the summer is Adventureland's Super Summer Bible School. This year will be no exception! The theme for this summer is Incrediworld Amazement Park, from Answers in Genesis. Each night of fun will revolve around a focused teaching from the Bible with the goal being to instill a biblical worldview into the kids who attend. Our desire is that children and their families understand and believe that God is truth, that His Word, the Bible is true and that they can base their entire life on these bedrock truths.
Registration is free, just make sure to show up about twenty minutes early to allow for the registration and check-in process. Don't worrry, though, everyone gets a ticket to this park. We hope to see you and your kids here for this incredible week!
Trunk or Treat & Fall Festival
Sunday October 28th, 2012
4:00-6:00 pm
Simply put, Trunk or Treat is the first chance each year for your kids to have a warm up run in their Halloween costume. As with all of our events, admission is free and so is everything else you and your kids can have fun doing while at this event. We ask our guests to register, so we can send you information following the event, as well as put your name into the drawing for some fun prizes we award near the conclusion of the event. You'll find games, free food, free candy, a costume contest, homemade chilis from the good folks at The Donelson Fellowship and more!
The event takes place on our church parking lot and property, so all parking except for handicap access is at McGavock High school. We will have shuttles ready to help transport you and your family from the parking lot to the church.

Mission Statement: The Adventureland Kids Ministry exists to support and resource parents as faith trainers and to encourage and train kids to become spiritual champions.
Our Vision: Our ministry vision is to provide a consistent environment for Christian education that transforms the lives of the kids and parents whom we serve. We are committed to the Bible as our standard for truth, training and inspiring parents as their children's primary spiritual influence and preparing kids for serving the Lord wherever He leads.
Our Objectives: Resource and train parents, make the most of every opportunity with kids, develop new leaders, invest in current leaders.

We'd love to consider you for one of our programs in the Adventureland kid's ministry. Whether you want to serve just once a month, or every week, we're always ready to add more people to our team. Filling out this basic application starts the process!
Download the application form below. After completing the form, return to the church office or Children's Pastor, Steve Greenwood, in a sealed envelope. If you have trouble downloading the form, email Steve at steve@donelson.org to receive the form.
